Oh, What a Morning!
Finding my keys dangling from the front door should have been my first clue.
I headed out this morning to do a few errands. Mailing Christmas packages to my kids was my number one priority. My plan was to go to the bank, the dollar store and then the post office. So, I finished up at the bank and headed to the dollar store. The dollar store was a bust. What I was looking for I couldn’t find.
While in the dollar store it occured to me that I forgot my packages, so I went home to grab them. At home I realized that what I couldn’t find at the dollar store I could find at the hardware store around the corner. I stop at the hardware store where I find everything I need. Finding what I need means a trip to the grocery store. I can do that on the way back from the post office. Walking to my car I remember that once again I forgot my parcels.
Another trip home to drop off and pick up. I head out once again and finally make it to the post office with my gifts. From the post office I pick up my groceries. I’m on the way home from the grocery store when it dawns on me that I didn’t get everything I needed. I stop at the Avondale store.
By the time I pull into my driveway my brain feels scrambled. Every trip out and back again set off my Yorkie-poo who goes completely squirrely. It’s 10:30 in the morning and I’m not sure if I need a glass of wine or a nap. I guess I’m going to have to settle for a nap as a glass of wine means another trip out. I don’t think I have the energy.
Oh, what a morning!
